(Christmas) Pecan Pie Christmas

ABOUT THIS SONG

A Southern Christmas kitchen. Pie on the counter, fire going, dancing while it snows outside.

LYRICS

Snow's on the screen door, boots by the rug Mama's in the kitchen stirring love in a mug
Pecan pie cooling on a checkered cloth Daddy tuned the old guitar
Till the whole room sang along
And the pine trees glowing out beyond the yard Your hand found mine and you stole my heart

Pecan pie Christmas, hold me close tonight With the fire glowing softly, everything feels right
Dancing in the kitchen while the snow falls outside You're the sweetest part of this Christmas night
Granddad in his chair telling one more tale Kids playing on the floor spinning like a carousel
Sweet yams on the table and a hymn playing low Your laugh moves through the room like a warm front rolling slow

And the star out there looks like it's on our side If the whole world turns cold, we've got that sweet southern pie
Pecan pie Christmas, hold me close tonight With the fire glowing softly, everything feels right
Dancing in the kitchen while the snow falls outside You're the sweetest part of this Christmas night
Come on over baby, leave your worries at the door We've got a little bit of heaven on a worn out hardwood floor

Pecan pie Christmas, hold me close tonight With the fire glowing softly, everything feels right
Dancing in the kitchen while the snow falls outside You're the sweetest part of this Christmas night
Sweetest home down in the south Pecan pie Christmas
Pecan pie Christmas
