(Christmas) December Looks Good On You

ABOUT THIS SONG

She laughs with his family like she has been there all her life, and he cannot look anywhere else.

LYRICS

The cold came easy down the valley, a little after evening news
You came in wearing that red sweater, and I forgot everything but you
Everybody's talking over everybody in the room, but somewhere in the middle of it, my
eyes still find their way to you

December looks good on you in that candle light, laughing with my family like you've
been here all your life
We don't need a postcard snowfall, or a town all painted white
December looks good on Alabama, but it looks better on you tonight

There's ribbon on the counter, sweet potatoes on the stove
Grandpa's halfway through that story that everybody already knows
You laid your head against me, and Christmas started then
December looks good on you in that candle light, laughing with my family like you've

been here all your life
We don't need a postcard snowfall, or a town all painted white
December looks good on Alabama, but it looks better on you tonight
Maybe Christmas isn't something that you hang up on a tree

Maybe it's the way your hand still finds its way to me
December looks good on you with your hair falling down, dancing in your stocking feet
while the whole house gathers round
From the Tennessee River down to the Gulf Coast lights, December looks good on Alabama

but it looks better on you tonight
Yeah, December looks good on Alabama, but it looks better on you tonight
Yeah, December looks good on Alabama, but it looks better on you tonight
